How can we help? ๐Ÿ‘‹

Manage Order Requests

Manage menu orders from guests.

What Are Orders?

Orders are created from your collection items and upsells and will show in the Orders tab on the header. You can also view a guestโ€™s orders on their profile sidebar.

ย

How Do I View Orders?

Clicking the Orders tab will allow you to view any current order requests made by guests. You can also look at past orders by clicking Archive in the top left.

New Orders

View incoming orders from guests and choose to accept or cancel the order. If you Accept the order, the order will move to the In Progress section, and if you Cancel the order, it will disappear from the page (but can still be found under Archive).

Akia Tip: Guests are not notified when their order is accepted or canceled, so if you need to notify the guest of any update, search for their name in the Akia search bar to pull up their conversation.
ย

Archive

The Archive section allows you to see all of the orders made by guests on a specific date. Click on the date in the top right corner to filter for a new date.

Create a Task When Someone Orders

You can create an Event Trigger to automatically create a task when an order has been made. This allows you to have two places where your team is notified of a new order, versus just in the Orders tab.

Use Cases

  1. โ˜Ž๏ธ Room Service: Instead of having a physical menu in the guestโ€™s room, send a digital menu to the guest and track their orders and completion in Akia.
      • Configure the menu to automatically create a task for the Kitchen when a guest orders so they can begin working on it ASAP.
  1. ๐Ÿ•š Early Check-In: Want to check if a guest is able to have early check-in before approving it? Create a menu with early check-in as an option and have your team verify and Accept the โ€œorderโ€ before manually reaching out to the guest with check-in instructions.
      • You can even process payment (if applicable) for additional early check-in charges using a combination of menus and event triggers. Learn more here: Event Triggers.
