Add Your PMS Custom Fields in Akia!

If your PMS allows you to create custom fields (either on the reservation or unit level), Akia should have them in the Custom Fields page under the New Custom Fields Detected section so you can leverage them in Akia. Once you have “activated” these custom fields, you can view them in the magic wand icon under the Reservation section to display in your Mini App, or view the information on the guest’s reservation widget or profile.

When you create new custom fields in your PMS, Akia will automatically sync those into our system under this section, so keep an eye out when you create more! (The speed at which Akia retrieves newly created custom fields depends on how often we sync with your PMS.)

Mini App Checkout Configuration

To allow for more customization with multiple tax line items and making it easier to apply the same configuration to multiple screens in your Mini App, we’ve moved the taxes & fees, tip, and delivery fee options to their own section under Settings > Checkout Configs.

You can add multiple tax items and/or completely toggle off any of the categories from showing in the Mini App checkout flow.

To edit the checkout config, make sure you’re in the Mini App editing mode and click **Checkout Config** in the bottom left-hand corner. You can specify if all pages in your Mini App will have the same checkout configuration or a different payment configuration per page.

New Collection Item Option Type: Counter

Want to allow your guests to specify how many of a single add-on they need? Use the Counter option type in your Collection Item configuration.
