Updated Mini Apps
Our team has updated the Mini App editor to help standardize your customization and have added a couple new components as well!
Customization - Color & Theme
When you create a new Mini App, you’ll now be directed to select a color and theme. These are fully cosmetic and can be changed at any time later on - you can play around with what looks good! The color will change the way buttons and shading looks in your Mini App, while the theme will change the font of the Mini App.
New and Updated Components
We've updated the look of the header image, table, separator (now called space divider) and notice components and have added new components: Terms, Step Guide, Tile Directory, Socials, and Marketing Consent to help support more use cases.
Terms: Use this to consolidate your terms and conditions at the property so guests can review each section separately without making the Mini App a wall of text. (You can also require the guest initial each page before completing this component.)
Step Guide: Find yourself instructing guests on how to access the property or turn on the air conditioning? Leverage the step guide to clearly indicate what to do during each step with an optional photo.
Tile Directory: List the amenities at the property like you would see on Airbnb or Booking.com. Each amenity can have an icon and optionally open to a new page where you can provide an image and description.
Socials: Quickly add links to your social media sites into the Mini App.
Marketing Consent: Collect email/SMS marketing consent within the Mini App so if you want to market to guests later on, you’ll already have the necessary opt-in collected. Learn more about marketing with Akia here: Marketing

AI Rephrasing
Not sure how to correctly convey your message to a guest? Use the sparkle (✨) icon in the inbox to have our AI rephrase the message. (Only available on Desktop, mobile to come.) Didn’t like the new phrasing? Click the undo button to go back to your original message.
Other Updates
- Updated magic wand icon (🪄) to brackets icon ( { } ) in the inbox and other text areas where you can select message tokens
Integration Updates
- New callout if a user has installed any integrations before allowing you to remove their account
Property Management Systems
- Sync notes from RoomRaccoon and Streamline into Akia
- Optionally push orders from Akia back to Clock and StayNTouch
- Fixed Guesty’s arrival time being stored incorrectly due to daylight savings

- Justified text formatting supported for text block component
Automations
- Respect routing rules when you mark a conversation as unread from the inbox or have “notify on submission” enabled for a Mini App
Inbox & Reservations
- Updated look of inbox with square text composer and merged sticker and emoji buttons together
- Fixed Web Chat not correctly displaying the guest’s inputted name, phone number, and/or email in the Akia inbox
Team Communication & Analytics
- Added success popup when you create a new user for your account
- Populate guest’s current room number in task creation, not their past room number (if applicable)
- Only notify assignee of task creation (rather than everyone in their department)
Misc
- Added total summary for “Location” column for Akia’s Device Hub - quickly see how many devices still need mapping
