Enabling Mews integration
- Navigate to Mews marketplace and add Akia
- Visit to the Akia’s Integration page, and navigate to the Property Management category
- Install the Mews app
- Navigate to the Collections section of Mini Apps
- Create a new collection (+ New Collection) or click Edit (on the right hand side) on an existing one
- The Name of the collection should be the Service Category (from Mews)
- The Category ID for the collection will be the Orderable Service ID (from Mews)
- After the collection is created, you can add items to the collection by clicking + New Item (right hand side)
- The Content ID field in the collection item would be the Product ID from Mews
How Can I Send Back Orders to Mews
Akia is able to send a record of ordered items back to Mews using our Mini Apps (Collections) and Triggers. We recommend creating the upsell items in Mews first, and then creating the matching collection in Akia.
The upsell items need to be marked as orderable (not reservable) in Mews for Akia to send back the order data.
Collection Setup
To summarize, this is the mapping between Mews and Akia:
- Mews’ Service Category = Akia’s Collection Name
- Mews’ Orderable Service ID = Akia’s Collection’s Category ID
- Mews’ Product ID = Akia’s Collection Item’s Content ID
Trigger Setup
- Navigate to the Triggers section of Automation
- Click + Add Trigger and select one of the Order Triggers (Order Created, Order Accepted, or Order Completed)
- You would determine the trigger based on when you would like Akia to send the order back to Mews. (For this example, we will be using the “Order Completed” trigger.)
- Select the Order Source, this would be the Mini App the collection was added to
- Click on the right arrow icon under the Action Variants section to configure the automation
- Optionally give the variant a name at the top of the new side panel
- Scroll down to the Actions section and click on the Send Message option to bring up a dropdown and select Mews Add Order
- Click Ok to save on this page and Ok on the second page to see the touchpoint update to show the preview as Mews Add Order
- When you are ready to begin sending back orders to Mews, click on the trigger once again and START in the side panel
- Once you start the trigger, it will begin sending orders back to Mews when you mark them as complete in Akia
