How can we help? 👋

August ‘24 - Tasks Update, Airbnb Improvements & Snooze Chats

Product Updates

Tasks Update

We have revamped the Tasks page on desktop (mobile to come) to show the tasks assigned to you (My Tasks) as well as any task queues you have visibility of. Think of task queues as ways to group tasks by a certain objective (Room Turnover, Maintenance Requests, Guest Orders) and each queue can have different stages the task can go through before it is completed. This allows for better tracking and notifying of tasks for those the queue is relevant to.

Go to the
Go to the My Tasks filter to see any outstanding tasks you have to complete, regardless of what queue they are in.

When you create or edit a task queue, you can customize which groups can view it and the stages the task can go through before it is completed.

Airbnb Improvements

"Pre-Approve" or Approve a "Request to Book" Reservation from Airbnb

Depending on your Airbnb account setup, when a guest makes an inquiry, you’re able to pre-approve their reservation or approve their request to book - and now you can do so directly in Akia! Click the Pre-Approve or Approve button and Akia will show the timestamp of the approval in the widget.

📌

Akia does not currently receive alteration requests in the Inbox - our team is working on it! You will still need to manage those in your Airbnb account.

View Other Hosts’ Messages from Airbnb in Akia

Are there multiple hosts for a specific listing? Akia now shows other hosts’ messages (sent on the Airbnb platform) within Akia so your team doesn’t have to move between the platforms to understand the whole conversation.

Snooze Chats

Need a reminder to follow up with a guest after a certain amount of time, but didn’t want to pin the chat or create a task? Click the clock icon in the header to Snooze the conversation for a set amount of time. This will re-open the chat at the specified time for all users, so it’s great if you need someone to follow up with the guest but aren’t sure who might be available at that time.

When you have snoozed the chat, we will show an orange clock icon in the inbox thread list, indicating it has been snoozed, and on the guest profile we show when the conversation will re-open and if you would like to cancel the snooze.

📌

If you re-open the chat yourself before the snooze has elapsed, the snooze will automatically disappear and would need to be re-added if your team still requires it.
